DAVID BARBA
Founder
David Barba was born in Monterrey, Mexico and raised in Mexico City. He received a BA from Stanford University. After working in the film industries in New York, London and Mexico City, David attended the Columbia University School of the Arts, receiving an MFA in Film. His short film Adiós, para Siempre (2006 HBO Urbanworld VIBE Best Short Film) shot on location in Mexico City, screened at festivals worldwide and aired on Showtime in the US and AXN throughout Latin America. His feature documentary Pop Star On Ice screened at festivals around the world including SilverDocs, Frameline and London, it had a theatrical release at IFC Center in New York and aired on Sundance Channel and Logo. His television series Be Good Johnny Weir aired on Sundance Channel (Season 1) and Logo TV (Season 2).  American Cheerleader, his second feature documentary, was seen in over 40 states through Fathom Events and is distributed by FilmBuff.  David’s latest feature documentary, Anatomy of a Male Ballet Dancer won the Audience Award for Feature at the 20th Annual Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in 2017.  David is a graduate of the two-year Meisner acting program with Suzanne Esper at the Esper Studio in New York.

JAMES PELLERITO
Founder
James Pellerito was born and raised in Vicenza, Italy, near Venice. James moved to New York to attend Columbia and received a BA and MFA in Film. He also holds an MA in Art History and Cinema Studies from NYU and worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for many years. His short film Maree (Tides), shot on location in Venice, screened in over one hundred festivals worldwide and won awards at over twenty-five festivals including Berlin, Rhode Island and Cinequest, qualifying it for Academy Award consideration in 2005. His feature documentary Pop Star On Ice screened at several festivals including the Atlantic Film Festival, Doc New Zealand and NewFest, it had a theatrical release at IFC Center in New York and aired on Sundance Channel and Logo.
